Sergeant Winn passed away after a valiant six-year battle with cancer, a battle she faced with the same resilience, grace, and unwavering strength that defined every aspect of her life.
Ebony joined the department in 2008, beginning a distinguished career marked by compassion, professionalism, and a steadfast commitment to protecting her community. She exemplified the highest standards of law enforcement—calm under pressure, deeply empathetic, and fiercely dedicated to the people she served. Her colleagues knew her as a leader who led by example, a mentor who guided with patience and integrity, and a friend who could bring light to even the most challenging days.
Throughout her illness, Ebony’s courage remained extraordinary.
