Ethan’s loss has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, especially his wife, Debora, and their daughter, Elliot, who will forever carry his memory with them.

Born on July 2, 1997, in Livingston—just outside the gates of Yellowstone National Park—Ethan’s early years were marked by adventure, nature, and the warmth of a loving family. His childhood took him across Montana, Missouri, Arkansas, and ultimately Wisconsin, where he graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids in 2015. Ethan went on to attend UW–Stevens Point from 2016–2020, studying political science and proudly participating in ROTC. His commitment to service extended further when he joined the Army Reserves, earning an honorable discharge upon completion.

Ethan was deeply admired for his dedication, integrity, and strong sense of responsibility. As a UPS driver and union steward for Teamsters Local 344, he was a tireless advocate for workers’ rights. His coworkers remember him as someone who fought passionately for fairness and never hesitated to support those in need. Whether offering guidance, standing up for others, or taking on challenges with resolve, Ethan made a meaningful difference in the lives of many.

On November 10, 2017, Ethan met the love of his life, Debora Barr, and from that day forward, they were inseparable. Their love story was one built on partnership, laughter, and unwavering devotion. They welcomed their beloved daughter, Elliot, in October 2020 and married on September 3, 2023, in a beautiful ceremony at the Rose House in Stevens Point. Ethan found his greatest joy in being a husband and father. Their home was filled with warmth, joy, and endless moments of shared happiness.

Ethan will be remembered for his intelligence, compassion, and willingness to help anyone who needed him—from friends moving houses to family in need of support. He loved the outdoors, excelling in scouting and achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. He enjoyed history, political discourse, and spending time in nature through hunting, camping, and backpacking.

Ethan is survived by his devoted wife, Debora; their daughter, Elliot; his parents, Eric and Heather; his siblings, Libby and Alexander; his grandparents; and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Sandy and Donald.

Ethan Gregory Sheets will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. His legacy of love, service, and strength will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.
